Recommendations for travelling to Uzbekistan.

In order to prevent stressful situations and to greater safety we would like to recommend to you to adhere to some advice necessary for safety of your property and personal safety.

1. Whether the VISA to citizens of Russia and other CIS countries is necessary?
For Russians and citizens of other CIS countries (except for Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan,) visa support and the VISA is not necessary. To have the Passport enough (period of validity - 3 months from the date of the ending of a trip), pay attention to presence of empty pages, the signature.
But it is impossible to forget, that citizens of other states at entrance to Republic Uzbekistan are obliged to receive registration OVIR, in the current, three days. Hotels and the travel companies having the tourist license, have the right and give out, to tourists living at them registration.
According to the signed report to the Russian-Uzbek agreement on mutual trips from November, 30th, 2000, since August, 13th entrance of the Uzbek citizens on territory of Russia and the Russian citizens - on territory of Uzbekistan will be carried out only under documents, valid for trip abroad. Diplomatic and service passports, the passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation concern to them, proving the identity of the citizen of the Russian Federation outside Russia (that is the passport) and the passport of the seaman. The opportunity of homecoming of Russians which during the stay in Uzbekistan for any reasons have lost is provided also or have put out of commission for further use one of listed above documents, under the certificate on entrance (returning) to the Russian Federation. The given document is made out by the Russian embassies and consular establishments abroad, and with reference to Uzbekistan - in a consular department of embassy of Russia in Tashkent.
2. What it is possible to import into Republic Uzbekistan? Whether it is possible to import alcohol and tobacco products. In what quantity?
The list of the goods resolved to import, is similar to the list of many western countries.
It is possible to import food stuffs for a private use. In difference, from others asian the countries, it is possible to import alcoholic drinks - 2 bottles and the block of cigarettes on the person. Besides the alcohol and tobacco products freely are on sale and are resolved to the use in all Republic.
It is impossible to import narcotic, explosive substances and any kinds of the weapon.
3. Why it is necessary to keep the customs declaration up to the end of a trip?
At entrance to Uzbekistan you should fill the customs declaration. One copy, it is necessary to leave at itself and to keep during all trips (up to a start). Amount of the money resources resolved to import to Uzbekistan beyond all bounds. But the sum of money taken out from Republic should not exceed the sum which you have imported. (For this purpose it is necessary to keep the second copy of the declaration). Also it is necessary to declare especially valuable things (jeweller ornaments, computers, chambers, etc.) Avowed things should be taken out from Uzbekistan.
4. What it is possible to take out from Uzbekistan and what is not present? And whether it is necessary to pay the tax on the things purchased in Republic?
The souvenir products made and purchased in Uzbekistan are not assessed with taxes. But without the permission of the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan it is impossible to take out ancient things (50 years are more senior). And also for products of manual work the certificate which confirms, that is necessary, the product bought by you is not antiques. This certificate should be taken from sellers. 5. There are restrictions in clothes for tourists, in particular, for women?
Restrictions and to clothes of tourists are not present special requirements. Put on how you have got used. In a hot season, we recommend spacious light clothes from natural fabrics.
6. Whether it is necessary to do inoculations before a trip to Uzbekistan?
Epidemiological situation in Uzbekistan, quite, safe. Therefore any special inoculation to do it is not necessary. 8. Whether local residents understand Russian?
In Uzbekistan of inhabitants of 90 % know to some extent Russian.
9. Individual rounds to Uzbekistan very expensive?
